Hi everyone
I`m new to this community...but thought I`d share my latest coincidence.

Three years ago, while I was a student, I used to have a part time job in a shop in Glasgow, Scotland. I used to work the same shifts as a few other people, and we would often go to the pub to sink a few pints after work. One of my co-workers was D, a student of law in her final year.
So things were good, we all worked and played together...but then as part of my course I had to go and live in Germany for a year, and in doing so I lost contact with all of my workmates.
I came back from Germany in 2002, studied for another couple of years and then applied to work for the JET Programme - an international programme set up by the Japanese government to bring native English speakers into the classroom as assitant language teachers.
After months of waiting during the application process, I was accepted and told I would be posted in Tochigi-ken, a mostly rural area of Japan north of Tokyo.
A couple of months later, I arrived in Japan. I had to go to a welcome meeting, where new and old JETS meet for the first time...and who should be there but D! Unbeknown to me, she had been a JET in Tochigi for two years.
But not only did we both end up in the same distant country, in the same small part of that country, doing pretty much the same job, D was also best buddies with my predecessor...and had been to my apartment many times!
Now we are really good friends, and I`m glad I found her again :-)

when i was smaller i woke up and saw a person sitting in my chair holding a baby, till the other day i thought it was just something i made up, but i was talking to my mother and she told me there were grave stones in the back yard, kinda coincidental that the day i found out was 4 years from the day? O_o; i know that sounds stupid but i went back to where i wrote it down (i kept track of everything when i was young)

new leases [20 Jun 2004|04:57pm]

[ mood | hmmm ]

My lease is up, and I have been wishy-washy about whether or not I should resign my lease or move. I recently looked at an apartment that I liked, but I still wasn't sure.

My family also just signed a lease on a new house, and I went over to look at it for the first time the other day. The house number is 1820.

The number of my would-be apartment? Also 1820.

I think that might be a good sign. :)

I was thinking of all the weird coincidences in my life, but, all of them either don't make enough since, or aren't that good, so instead, of the coincidences in my life, I remembered one in my friends.

Her Uncle worked in the Wold trade center. He had a fishing trip planned for the day 9/10/01, but, when he found out he would be missing two meetings he prosponed it until 9/11/01. The weird thing is that most adults hate their job meetings, and yet those two saved his life.

My other friend's relitave went out for a coffee brake 5 minutes before the planes crashed into the buildings.

While I was pregnant my husband Jon, my mother-in-law Gayle and I went to a craft show. We stopped at a booth selling wooden toys. Gayle went up to a box and pulled out a puzzle that spelled out the name Max. We had decided on the name Max so I assumed that is why she picked it up. It was so cute, I had to have it! Jon thought it was great too and went up to the counter to buy it. That's when Gayle asked me who the Max sign was for. We had forgotten to tell her the name! She had just reached in and pulled out the Max puzzle randomly!

Once when I went to Busch Gardens I was in line for a rollercoaster, and this person in front of me let me go first because they wanted to ride with their friend. I happily took the ride, and after it was done, when I walked away, the next ride got stuck and the riders were trapped there for about 20 minutes.

So I went and bought icecream with strawberries and fudge. Yummm...

Most of you are thinking why isn't this community called weird coincidence, and I will tell you why, it's simply too long so I had to spell it wrong, lol. Any way if you haven't read the profile, read it! You can write anything you want in here that has to do with the deffinition

A sequence of events that although accidental seems to have been planned or arranged.

So now, instead of putting it away in your mind write it, most of us have joined this community to read about the exciting and weird stuff in life.
So far this is a boring community, I mean there is only one entry, but, soon it will grow to be an exciting thing you want to read. Just give it some time. :)
